Now, I cannot say I’m terribly comfortable as an “independent” (aka: naturally single) person and not be lying. Even then, I’m not uncomfortable with the reality of life, either. I just bring it up here as an ear-catching piece of info foreshadowing what I am prepared to reveal to you
This time last week yours truly was talking to Corey, pondering about buying a membership to a dating service for Phoenix singles. As of this minute, I write to you as a delightfully single member of the matchmaking service. Totally, it’s true. It’s great! If you have read my old blog, perhaps you’re thinkin’, “You totally owe me an explanation.”
Here’s how it went down, I saw these Great Expectations Reviews and can really get behind their approach. They’re for the serious singles who think dating doesn’t have to be so frivolous and stupid.
Because in all honesty I’d never been a fan of the ridiculous nightlife ritual most people have christened “The Dating Game.” I got it more than anyone should. Each night people pester, “Are you seeing somebody?” and “Just get out there and date him!”
“Nonsense,” I banter right back, without missing a beat. “Take a look around, I’m not missing much.”
“Not true,” they say. “You have no way to know that!”

Stacey Feldman. She sets common sense to my mind 99% of the time. Loved ones I depend on . She made a good point, and I thank her for it.
Back to the meaning of this blog entry. As I picked from thousands of combinations of outfits for my first singles event with Great Expectations, I acknowledged something honest. For the longest time, I hadn’t had any actual great expectations for dating and myself in the serendipitous journey of being human. It’s good to be single, especially with healthy optimism. Holding great expectations does wonders for those who believe.
