In 1837, Raphael Picard was the founder of the "Invicta Watch Group". The company was in the first place founded in La Chaux-de-fonds, Switzerland. "Invicta" is the Latin word for "Invincible". In the early decades of its existence, Invicta rapidly becomes splendid for its elegantly designed and functionally constructed watches.
The business company was owned by Picards family for a very long time until 1991. Then Invicta was acquired by an investment company located in the United States and their headquarter moved to Hollywood, Florida. The chief executive officer of Invicta is named Eyal Lalo. You can often see him in television shows on the channel NBC.

Invicta is still producing new types of watches but they lately outsourced their fabricating to companies in Asia and Switzerland. A small part of their watches are made in the United States.
