Originally made as only one model, today’s Swiss Army knives are produced in upwards of 100 models with different combinations of attachments for different tasks. The Swiss Army knife is renowned for its superb quality and craftsmanship. Knives made many decades ago are still being used today. The knives are so durable because they are manufactured with the best components and they are produced using a unique design. Each spring within the knife is utilised by several blades at one time. Therefore, the largest blade has 12kg of force applied to it, while the smaller blades have 8-10kg of force applied to them. The blades are also very hard and sharp, measuring 56 on the Rockwell C scale of hardness. This, coupled with its well-known name, ensures Swiss Army knives are the first choice for many around the world.
Installation to connect my TV was a breeze because I currently had internet with Verizon FIOS. The technician installed the cables by taking my existing coax splitter and splitting the signal before the router. The coax cable laid outside, gets split as they enter your house, spread to all your rooms and in the process a downstream cable gets into the Coax connector of Verizon Internet Router. Although the router speaks TCP/IP over RJ-45 to the DVR, it can also hand out IP addresses over Coax to supply the house. A DVR is known as a Digital Video Recorder. It allows you to record programs to a hard disk for viewing later. That is also included with the FIOS package.
This DVR holds approximately 17 hours of High Definition content or 60 hours of SD TV. (short for Standard Definition) or any possible mixture of the two of them that you can dream up. Like with the majority of DVR devices, it is possible to adjust every recording as “protected”. (not removed automatically) You may fix yourself in a queue with the last x recordings. You can choose all shows to include repeats, or only new shows.
As for the cost, the Core Package is only $43 per month right now, and you get different DVR options to choose from including standard, High Def, standard DVR and High Def DVR. For the hours we happen to spend before TV, the amount of over $60 for Cable is short of squander. Because they and not the cable providers set their own costs, HBO, Showtime, and other premium channels cost the same as on cable.
We have been very pleased with the results. The quality of the picture is outstanding, the set-top box works well, and I believe that Verizon will keep updating the boxes with the newest software features and even more On-Demand Movies. It is my opinion that the first month of Verizon FIOS TV in my state has set the stage right for its great progress. It is recommended over local cable if you can get it.
