On Giving an Experience as a Gift
24 April 2010
The widespread consensus with human experience is that we cherish experiences more than we do the stuff we’ve owned in the past. Should this be the truth, isn’t it more appreciative to present your friend or loved one with an actual experience as a present?
Many people are understanding this, and a fashionable gift these days is to offer somebody an experience day. They can select an experience of their choice – that may be driving a high performance vehicle, riding a hot air balloon, sky diving or parachuting, going off road in a 4 x 4 or perhaps even bungee jumping.
Arguably the most selected experience event in United Kingdom appears to be driving high performance cars.
Typical sportscar driving experiences include the Audi R8 V10 experience day. This presents you the chance to drive such a sportscar as fast as you like – if you have the boldness that is. Certainly it will be a day to remember.
As these types of gifts are becoming more common, there’s now a greater choice for experience days – which is good news for the paying public as you ought not to have too far to go to your day out, or spend too much for your special experience.
Treasure Hunt
8 November 2008
What fun it would be to be a treasure hunter. I would love to be a skilled treasure hunter just like Indiana Jones or Nichols Cage in the National Treasure movies.Finding some treasure that was lost hundreds or even thousands of years ago would be like a dream. This planet is so big and so many people on it hiding stuff all the time. I have hidden stuff all over the place… when I was a kid.The problem is that I don’t even remember hiding the stuff. People with lots of money hide stuff all the time, and we know this because people find the treasures all the time. And most of those treasures that we had clues or a map to. Imagine how much stuff is still out there that know body ever even knew about. Most of the treasures from sunken ships we have found from following captions logs, or logs about when people were traveling. Searching the grounds of great battles is how most of the stuff is found. Finding something that is so beautiful would be amazing. Occasionally someone will stumble on one by accident. If you just knew how to find the first clue, the hunt would be on. You would need to be some kind of history genius, but now with the help of the intranet you can find about anything that you can dream of. Of coarse the best stuff is never just put out there for anyone to find. You need old books, old maps, and old papers. The best thing to do would be to find the hiding place of some government documents that never got found. Maybe deep in the woods, inside a hollow rock, you will find a staircase that leads down a shaft. Once you get to that shaft you find a long tunnel. Once you go down the long tunnel you did a large cavernous room. But it’s empty. So sad, it looks like you just missed the treasure by like 100 years. Upset you pound your fist right through a wall that real a huge treasure. That’s how dreams come true.
