Are You Playing The Fool to Your Advantage
28 September 2008
What does the appearance of The Fool mean for you when it appears in a Tarot spread?
Do you get excited or worried?
In this short article we explain what The Fool means when he appears in the Tarot.
The Fool is perhaps one of the most important tarot cards in the deck.
He is the first card of the Major Arcana, the first of 22 cards.
He is also the only one of the Major Arcana to remain in our modern card deck, appearing as the Joker.
His journey is at a deeper level the journey we are all on – the journey through life and life’s troubles, as no matter how old we are or what experiences we have been through we will still contine to find ourselves in areas where we are unsure, and vulnerable.
The Fool has appeared in many guises over the centuries in the different decks that have appeared.
In the Visconti Sforza deck he is seen looking a bit like a tramp without shoes in his stocking soles, and threadbare at that!
He carries a large stick or staff over his shoulder as though ready to commence a long journey.
In the Wirth deck he looks a bit like the court jester of old, and most like the forerunner of today’s joker in the traditional card deck.
He has however a cat with it’s teeth sunk into his left leg, and a crocodile in the distance. The picture on this card seems to indicate the urge of The Fool to get on with his journey in spite of all obstacles both past and future.
The Arthurian Tarot portrays The Fool as Parsifal who sought the mythic Holy Grail, and the Mythic deck depicts him as the Greek god Dionysus, wearing animal skins of many colours, and dancing gaily at the edge of a cliff.
No matter which deck we use the appearance of The Fool is a sign that we should follow our own path no matter what.
We need to have the courage to jump off the cliff into a new venture if that’s what is called for.
We need to have faith in our convictions no matter how hard this might be.
There are risks to everything in life and the appearance of The Fool in a spread is a great opportunity for a new beginning provided you are willing to make the jump!

Tips for Attending Gemstone Shows
26 September 2008
If you’ve been to gem shows, you know how overwhelming and daunting they can be. Although it’s difficult to narrow down all those tempting options, your jewelry business profit margin will be greater if you plan ahead and focus on shopping for a particular line and color scheme of jewelry. You must keep the bigger picture in mind and try to keep your emotions out of the design process. Here are some tips for defining your market and researching it so that you can walk in and out of a gemstone show feeling confident in the business investments you’ve just made.
What Is a Gem Show?
Gemstone shows and fairs are marketplaces for vendors of gemstones, findings, jewelry supplies, and tools. Due to the large amount of competition between the vendors, prices tend to be competitive. I’ve found unbelievable deals on high quality gemstones and findings at gem shows.
How Do I Find the Nearest Gem Show?
To find gem shows near you, you can simply do a Google search for “gemstone show” or “gem fair”. Other sources of information are your local convention and visitors’ bureau and any lapidary clubs in your area.
Is There an Admission Fee?
Anyone can attend most gemstone shows. Although you don’t usually need a wholesale license to get in, some vendors may ask for your resale permit before letting you buy at wholesale prices. Show admission fees tend to be in the $5 to $10 dollar range.
Define Your Market Ahead of Time
What market are you trying to target with your jewelry? Don’t try to please everyone. Are you trying to appeal to individuals like yourself? What age bracket are you trying to reach? Does your jewelry line appeal to funky or traditional individuals?
Research Your Market
Next take a trip to your local department store and take note of the colors that are being used for the upcoming season. Look at the jewelry and observe the lengths of the earrings/necklaces, the sizes of the stones, and the other various style elements for the season. While your designs should not be copies or replicas of the jewelry in the stores, you can simply incorporate the observations you make into your own original design ideas. Fashion and jewelry magazines are also a great place to find out what trends are coming into the stores.
Attending the Gem Show
There will be an overwhelming array of gemstones and supplies at the show. Having a jewelry line style and color scheme in mind will allow you to narrow your focus. Vendors will offer gemstones in more shapes, sizes, cuts and colors than you can imagine. Stick to the colors you’ve mapped out for yourself and walk through the entire gem show once before buying anything. Jot down and compare the prices of items that you’re interested in.
Then take a break, go outside for some fresh air, and reflect on the items you saw and really liked. Then review your budget and the jewelry line you have in mind before returning into the gemstone show. This will help you get the best deals on the items you’re most interested in, so that you don’t blow your budget or become overwhelmed by the options.

Creative Marketing: Your Marketing Idea Box
26 September 2008
Do you ever find yourself looking for a great promotional idea? Or staring at a blank computer screen, trying to come up with just the right words for marketing copy? Do what savvy marketers do: Consult your idea box.
If you don’t have an idea box, start one today. The next time you see an ad that really seems to work, or you read copy that makes you sit up and take notice, put a copy in your idea box. The things you save don’t have to be related to your industry or for products or services that are similar to yours. They should simply be examples of great marketing.
Then, use your idea box as brain food. The next time you are stuck, pull out the idea box and review the items you have there. Your idea box may include books, sales letters, clever advertising specialties, print outs of Web sites or emails, and other materials.
The point is not to copy the items in your idea box, it is to use them as inspiration. See how they are constructed, what buttons they press, and how they present benefits, and learn from them. Use bits and pieces of ideas from several to create something that is uniquely yours.
Don’t copy the words, and don’t duplicate what someone else has done, but do learn from what has worked for others.

Choose Your Battles
26 September 2008
Choose your battles. That is my health tip for the month. People get surprised that I still visit doctors. They think due to many years, of my being in the natural health field and downing lots of herbs and supplements, that I should be the equivalent to the “Bionic Woman” by now and never need health care or advice from a doctor. Wrong, I do seek health advice. We have the best diagnostic tools and abilities in this country. I take advantage of them, but I also weigh my options.
Here is an example. I had a hysterectomy last month. Gasp from the crowd. Yes, I allowed my vulnerable body to be cut open and the offending organs to be cut out, and I am proud to say I am no longer the carrier of a stinky, dysfunctional uterus, among other things.
I used natural products successfully for years, to reverse damage from endometriosis, fibroid tumors and alleviate pain, but when the challenge rose again…I decided this time I had had enough.
There was too much in my life that depended on me and when I took inventory of what I could control and what I could not, this was an area of my life I could control.
I won’t say it was easy or that it wasn’t emotional. It really was an emotional decision, for me. After all, it is an irreversible decision, not like changing your hair color. I remembered and took strength from how my mother handled her hysterectomy twenty- five years before. She said “So what? They took out the baby factory, but left me the play pen.” Too much information, Mom, but now I get it.
My uterus served me well. I have four beautiful children that would not be here, without it’s’ help, but it also caused me years of pain, discomfort and really slowed my game down, if you know what I mean.
I put this off for years and argued my case for keeping my ovaries and cervix. I lost.
I think my doctor wanted to convince me I made the right decision, when she read me the lab report after surgery. “You should see this report! Everything inside you was damaged.”
“Well, I’ve had four kids. You try keeping things nice with kids around.”
Then she tries to top herself by telling me even my cervix was irritated. I thought why the heck was my cervix irritated? Was the uterus getting on its nerves?
Okay, so the surgery is done. No turning back but I am NOT taking HRT. I am handling this naturally. Here is the part where you have to be really firm in your stance with the medical community, to honor your right to choose what is best for you.
Conversation with my doctor:
DR: So, I put an estrogen patch on you after surgery (even though I told her not to). Do you want me to send you home with a patch or pills?
ME: I don’t want synthetic hormones. I plan to handle this naturally.
DR: Yeah, but I want you to use something for you bones. Do you want the patch or pills?
ME: I don’t want synthetic hormones. I plan to handle this naturally.
DR: Yeah, alright, but I want you to use something at least for a couple of years. Okay? Do you want a patch or pills?
ME: I don’t want synthetics, I’ll handle this naturally.
DR: Oh, okay. Do you want me to prescribe something plant based?
ME: Yeah, go ahead.
I am still trying to find my new female “balance”. I use a natural progesterone cream, made from Wild Yam and supplements of Soy & Black Cohosh. I also take Calcium and other regular supplements of vitamins & minerals.
I am sure the pharmacy will get tired of holding that prescription. She did do a great job of helping me shed unwanted organs. Thank God for doctors!

The Guide to Picking Hot Baby Shower Themes
26 September 2008
Baby shower are such a wonderful occasion and should be a lot of fun. Unfortunately sometimes people get stressed out in the planning and they really bog themselves down and make everything harder then it should be. So the number one advice to having a great baby shower is lighten up and have fun.
For example many people get stuck on picking a hot baby shower theme. This really couldn’t be any easier if you just let it happen and follow the steps provided below. However, if you get stressed about it being perfect then this will become very difficult.
Here are some of the steps that we will often follow for picking hot baby shower themes that are cheap, easy, or free and fun for everyone involved.
Be Creative
One of the most important things to picking great baby shower themes is to be creative. That’s right just be creative and let your ideas flow. All too often people get stuck in trying to pick the perfect theme and it bothers them so much they do not get anything down. So simply give up worrying about it being perfect. Get out and away from the task at hand and just live life with this in the very back of your mind. What you will find is the often when we claim that we are not thinking about something the brain is really working in the back all on its accord. Then you are driving down the freeway and it hits you. BAM! Hopefully not the car in front of you but a great baby shower theme.
Consult with Mom
A great place to start the discussion about a baby shower theme is with the pregnant mom. Find out her likes, dislikes, hopes and dreams for the baby and you will come up with hundreds of great ideas. For example mom might say she hopes that her baby will have the chance to travel to Europe one day like she did. Wow! That was easy why not an airplane baby shower theme. What about a theme titled “Oh The Places You Will Go” from the great Dr. Suess book.
So often by talking with the mom you can discover a lot of ideas. Just sit and talk with her and enjoy the good company over a cup of green tea. Don’t worry about taking notes or trying to get the perfect theme. Just relax and have a nice conversation. Then take a drive on an stretch of road that is not crowded or go home and listen to some relaxing music and it will hit you.
Consult With Friends
If you do not want to go to the mom to be for whatever reason then talk to a few friends. Again have everyone sit down and talk about their favorite baby showers or baby shower themes they like. This is sure to generate a whole host of ideas that can be used.
So as you can see there are a wide variety of wedding shower themes and the ideas for the hot themes are all around you in your everyday life. Sometimes you will gain a lot by just letting go!

6 Ways Not To Give Up
26 September 2008
Mike just got back his math test from the week before. The mark he earned was a “C”. He can barely hold back his disappointment, because he studied for this test for quite a long time. He just can’t believe it. He feels that it doesn’t even matter if he tries or not. Even when he tries really hard, he still doesn’t get good marks. What is the use of trying?
Granted, it feels very disappointing when things don’t work out the way you had planned; especially when you put in a good effort.
So how to you keep going when the going gets tough? Would you call it “quits” too if you were in Dan’s shoes or would you continue to study for your tests despite the low mark received in this test?
“The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination.” - Tommy Lasorda
1. Keeping An Open Mind
In Mike’s case I hope that you would agree that it is too soon to throw in the towel. It’s important that you keep trying until you get the result that you want. When you say, “I quit” you shut off your inner dynamo and your determination leaves. Giving up is the easy (and tempting) thing to do! Don’t give up! Keep trying!
The one thing that you can do in pursuing your goal is to keep an open mind. You will be more aware of ideas and opportunities around you that could help you move you closer towards your goal. Once you say “I quit” you basically are closing off your mind from any more ways to getting closer to your end result and having any breakthroughs.
Like in the example about the math test, if Dan keeps an open mind and chooses to keep studying for tests, he may find new ways of studying – ways that work better for him to help him retain the information, because not everybody learns in the same way. There are always more ways than one to do something!
2. Trial and Error
One thing for you to remember when you get discouraged is that you actually tried in the first place. You made an effort! If you got a result that you didn’t like, you will need to adjust your action based upon your result until you get a
better outcome. Especially in the beginning of something, we feel overwhelmed at times and think that we will never get there. Yes, you may have temporary setbacks, but if you learn from those and change your actions you will get what you want.
Colonel Sanders was rejected over 1000 times before someone bought his famous chicken recipe.
The Wright brothers tried many times before taking flight.
Thomas Edison tried to invent the light bulb over 9999 times. He said that every attempt showed him just another way
how not to invent the electric lamp. He didn’t look at it as mistakes, but as each trial as an advancement towards his ultimate goal. What a powerful mindset to have!
The spirit of “stick-to-it-iveness” (in proper English the word is “tenacity”) is the one that wins! Each time you try again, you WIN!
3. Questions are the answer!
When you run out of ideas it’s time to start asking questions. Who do you ask the questions? Guess what, it’s YOU! That’s right, you have to start asking yourself the questions and you WILL come up with more answers. The trick is to ask yourself better questions so that
you will get better answers! What do I mean by that?
OK, let me give you an example and let’s use the scenario from above about Mike and his math test. Now he could ask himself, “How come I never get a good mark? How come I can’t do well in school?” The kicker is that when you ask those kinds of unhelpful questions you are going to come up with answers that are just as unhelpful like “Because I am stupid, because I’ll never learn it, because I am no good, etc.”
Now let me ask you some questions:
“Are those answers going to help you? How are they going to make you feel? Are they going to make you take action and try again?
Here is a better way of asking yourself questions: “What can I try differently next time to help me study? “Ask questions that are geared towards getting what you want, not what you don’t want. Keep the questions positive!
For extra effectiveness, try writing the question(s) down. Ask yourself the questions before you go to sleep at night and often times the answers will come the next day as your brain had time to think about it while you were sleeping! Sounds pretty easy, doesn’t it? Keep asking “better” questions and “better” answers will come!
4. Guidance
Here is another question. “Who can help you?”
Is there somebody that has already achieved the same goal? Find them and ask them what they did to get there. Asking doesn’t cost anything. If they won’t help you, find somebody else!
And guess what, chances are these people weren’t always doing great at first. The difference is that they kept going however small the action seemed at the time. Once you have the determination to persist until you get what you want, you will become more confident in yourself as well.
5. Excuse me!
A sure way to keep you from starting or even continuing towards your goal is to come up with an excuse. Let’s face it; there is always an excuse ready for you to use if you so choose. It’s easy to come up with excuses. If you find yourself making excuses take a minute and you will see that you are really just cheating yourself!
6. Picture it!
I know that to make your goals a reality it most likely requires you to venture outside of your comfort zone. That can be scary and not feel very uncomfortable at first! Keep focusing on the benefit of your goal to push yourself further along.
Take a minute whenever you feel overwhelmed and DREAM about your goal! See yourself already being there. Get a really clear picture of what you are going to look like, where you will be, and even what you will be feeling like! It’s fun to dream and it will help make your dream come true!
You deserve the best in life! You deserve to get what you are dreaming about and you alone can make it happen! It’s your birthright to have it all! Nobody has the right to take that from you no matter what you have been told!
Stay in the game. Don’t give up. Don’t quit. Don’t succumb to pressure. You may need to take a breather every once in while to help you get back your momentum and that’s OK just as long as you get back in the game again. Any dream worth having is worth persevering for! You have it inside of you to create your dreams and your future! Go for it and make it happen!
“If you can dream it, you can do it!” -Walt Disney
“One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great Surprises, is to find he can do what he is afraid he couldn’t do.” -Henry Ford
PS: Just one last note to let you know about when it really isn’t advisable to keep trying. It’s when you’re trying to change somebody other than yourself. It’s great to help out a friend and do things for them sometimes, just know that in the end it’s really their responsibility to take care of themselves and have their own goals. It’s not going to work in the long run if you do it for them.

Web 2,0 and RSS Feeds
25 September 2008
The web is experiencing an online revolution in the making with Web 2.0; it is simply and powerfully restructuring it, making information more personalised and centralised.
Since the advent of the internet every user wanted a more personalised environment and this now comes in the guise of Web 2.0, with RSS feeds added, read and tracked right from your favourite search engines’ home page.
RSS is still in its infancy but it seems as if it will become an important component in the success of Web 2.0 as businesses take advantage of giving control to users. RSS is helping the web distribute content in an organised way and, over the next few years, I believe RSS will definitely be seen on every website and blog.
Using RSS, search engines return search results on specific keywords, connecting users with the information they want to read. This process of syndicating content from other websites by displaying RSS feeds is definately catching on with the ability to deliver fresh news to their users as it happens.
Not only are the big companies using RSS to get ahead of the competition but smaller firms like ours are also using it to the fullest extent for ourselves and our clients.

How To Get Tattooed
25 September 2008
So… You want to get tattooed. Great! This can be a rewarding and life-enriching experience… IF done right. Knowing HOW to get tattooed is key to being happy with this decision. I hope in the following paragraphs to help you, as a potential client, learn the skills necessary to get a good tattoo, one you can live with.
People get tattooed for a number of reasons… some good, some not so good. Tattoos can be a scrapbook of a person’s life. They tell us about the wearer’s loves, hates, hopes, fears, accomplishments, and regrets. They can be purely decorative. They can tell where a person is from or where they want to be. . It may be done as a way of being “different” or “rebellious”, or fitting into a larger group identity..
Ideally, they are applied in an attractive way, by a knowledgeable artist, fitting the body and personality of the wearer, with an enduring personal significance and a timeless style that will not go out with the current trend. Tattoos of this type are seldom regretted and can be empowering points of pride for their owners. I don’t know one person with a good quality, appropriately sized, and personally significant tattoo they wish they hadn’t gotten.
For many, however, this is an impulsive act, one eventually regretted for that very reason. Often, not much thought is put into the design’s significance or its overall effect on one’s self-image. Too many times, tattoos are gotten because they are fashionable. The problem is, fashions change, and unlike other fashion accessories, you have to keep your tattoo.
This is why it’s important to know HOW to get tattooed. For many, this is a daunting and confusing endeavor, especially the first time. After all, it’s permanent. This idea alone can be nerve-racking enough. Most people never do anything permanent. Half of marriages nowadays are far less than that, and the idea of committing to an aesthetic seems far tougher than committing to a soul mate.
The first step is to know your self. What are you into? What do you hold dear? What do you desire? What do you believe? What types of imagery do you find pleasing, and what part of your body would you like to accentuate with a tattoo? These are good places to start.
Placement, scale, and flow, are paramount in importance. Good tattoos, in my opinion, should look like clothing or jewelry from a respectable viewing distance. A prime example is traditional Japanese tattooing. Another would be Pacific islander. Optimally, they should read well from across the street. If so, they will age well. Badgy, small, isolated tattoos look like melanomas and only get worse with time. These should be avoided.
Then you need to decide on the imagery. Good design reference can be found anywhere; the internet, library, magazines, comic books, greeting cards, even wallpaper. This part is subjective. Look for TYPES of imagery you like, not necessarily specific tattoo designs. A good tattooist can then help you develop a basic idea in a beautiful finished piece, but he or she needs direction from you.
Next you need to find that artist… the one who can do the mental math for you, adding up your expectations and ideas to give you exactly what you never knew you wanted. Word of mouth is invaluable. If you see a tattoo you like on someone, ask who did it. Look a tattoo magazines and on the internet to find out about local tattooists. Once you’ve found a few prospects and located their studios, take some time to visit them and view their studios and portfolios.
The portfolio is key. How artists present their work speaks volumes about them professionally. Look for HEALED pictures of quality work a style that speaks to you. Look for consistent line work, smooth shading, and solid color. A tattooist will most often put their favorite work in their book, so you can see what they prefer to do or specialize in. Do not bypass this step. If you neglect to look at a portfolio, you deserve what you get. If you ask and they say “Portfolio?”… run like hell!
So there you are. You’ve brainstormed for weeks, gone into all the local tattoo shops, perused portfolios, chosen the “perfect” artist, AND decided on a design (WHEW!). Now you’re ready to sign the waiver form and have your skin art dreams come true…right? Not just yet, there, Turbo! One very necessary part of the overall picture should be looked at before you should have ANY kind of invasive procedure done. It’s always a good idea to look at the practices of your chosen artist to make sure that this isn’t a decision you’ll regret. If you’d be so kind as to read on, I’ll tell you what you should know and look for to insure you’re getting a safe tattoo.
First of all, let’s discuss the risks inherent to this kind of procedure. Like any other activity that involves needles and blood, there is always the possibility of transmitting disease if proper standards are not met. Blood borne pathogens such as HIV and hepatitis are of greatest popular concern, with most people believing their biggest risk is “getting AIDS”. In fact, HIV is hardly a concern in tattooing, mostly because of the sheer volume of blood that has to be transmitted to infect someone with the virus. HIV is also relatively weak and survives for only short time when exposed to the environment. Hepatitis, a desease that attacks the liver, is of a lot more concern, being a much heartier pathogen that requires a much smaller amount of body fluid transfer, though it should be mentioned that , according to the Centers for Disease Control, there has NEVER been a documented case of Hepatitis OR AIDS caused by a tattoo. However, there’s always a first time for everything, and nobody wants to be it, so it’s always a good idea to take universal precautions. Remember, too, that there are many other diseases out there that you can receive through contact with infected blood, such as tuberculosis. That’s not all, though. We also have to take into account the plethora of different bacterial and fungal infections that that are just waiting for the opportunity to fester inside your brand new tattoo. So be careful…the hide you save could be your own.
The first step in this process is to ask about the studio’s universal precautions…a set of practices used with each and every client to prevent infection and disease transmission (hence the term “universal”). Do they use new needles? Do they wear latex or comparable exam gloves while working? Do they use an acceptable hard surface disinfectant on all their tools and work surface in between tattoos after doing away with all disposable items (razor blades, ink, ink cups, Vaseline, plastic barriers, rubber bands, etc)? How do they sterilize their non-disposable equipment? These are the questions that you should have answered BEFORE getting tattooed or pierced…as well as any others that come to mind. Remember, it’s YOUR health, and it’s your responsibility. Do it for yourself as well as for your friends and loved ones. You don’t want to end up an amputee Typhoid Mary, do you?
As far as sterilization goes, their are three commonly used methods… cold chemical, dry heat, and autoclave sterilization. An autoclave is a device that uses steam, heat, and pressure to kill all known microorganisms and the spores with which they reproduce and is the preferred method of sterilization, especially for equipment that has come into contact with possibly infectious body fluids. Chemical and dry heat sterilization are considered adequate for non-contaminated items (those that have not come into contact with body fluids) or items that cannot be sterilized in an autoclave, but aren’t the most effective practices because the steam pressure of an autoclave (what these two methods lack) is what kills reproductive spores and gets into all the little nooks and crannies of the equipment. Autoclave sterilization takes place when clean, dry, individually packaged items are processed at 15 pounds per square inch and 250 degrees Fahrenheit for twenty minutes at temp and pressure (though this is the most common standard, these figures vary… more heat or pressure can decrease necessary exposure time).
The next thing you should try to do is watch the tattooist work. Usually this isn’t a problem and most good tattooists will actually appreciate the fact that you care enough to ask. Things that you should look for include, “Is the work area clean, organized, and well lit”, “Does he wash his hands between clients”, “Does he refrain from touching things like doorknobs, lights, the telephone, or radio with dirty gloves?” Increased confidence can be had with an artist who also uses plastic barriers on their power supply, tattoo machines, spray bottles, and work surface, because they cut down on gross contamination with blood and ink, therefore making clean-up between clients easier and more thorough. Great care should be taken to prevent cross contamination, which occurs when possibly infectious material from one client comes in contact with a surface and the tattooist touches that surface while working on the next, thus “cross-contaminating” from one client to another. Keep in mind that the care the artist takes with his cleanliness is a good indication of the level of care he’ll take in the execution of your tattoo. There’s no such thing as a good, dirty, tattooist.
If you bear these things in mind and keep you eyes peeled, asking any and all questions that come to mind, you should be fully capable of deciding whether or not your decision to get tattooed will be a good one. There are few things in this world more satisfying than having a brand-new, beautiful tattoo… except not having to worry about getting sick from it. If you need any other reason to go through all this hassle, just close your eyes (I’m waiting…) and imagine an oozing, festering, two week old fungal infection in that same tattoo and the resulting scar that will be there once it FINALLY heals. All it takes is a little time and common sense to avoid making a decision you’ll regret. Isn’t it worth it to insure your health and that of your loved ones?

How to Play Corona Solitaire
25 September 2008
Corona Solitaire is a fun solitaire game, requiring skill, planning, and patience. There are decisions to make throughout the game, but you may not know if the game can be finished until the very last card. It is quite an obscure solitaire game, but those that play it find it immensely fun… in fact, it’s one of my personal favourites, and I can’t stop playing!
The aim is to build 8 ascending suit sequences in the foundation stacks.
The opening tableau is maed up of 2 decks, and consists of:
- 8 foundation stacks, which are all empty,
- 12 manoeuvre stacks, each with 3 face-up cards, and
- a talon, with 68 face-down cards.
Cards can be moved in the manoeuvre zone if they are the same suit and 1 less in
rank. So a 7 of Diamonds can be played onto an 8 of Diamonds, and a Queen of
Spades can be played onto a King of Spades. Kings cannot be moved in the
manoeuvre zone at all.
When a manoeuvre stack becomes empty, a card is automatically taken from the top
of the waste pile. If the waste pile is empty, a card is automatically taken from the
talon.
Clicking the talon will move a single card to the waste pile. You can only cycle
through the talon once.
Only a single card can be moved at any time, and stacks can not be moved as a
whole.
Whilst the rules seem simple, the game itself is quite complex, often requiring
considerable planning. In particular, deciding when exactly to clear a stack can have
a huge impact on the game, because it changes what cards you currently have in
play. It often pays to hold-off on clearing a stack, so that a more valuable card is
put into play.
At the start of the game, it helps to look for inversions. This is where a card is
obscured by the same suit but higher rank. For example, a 2 of Diamonds
underneath a 7 of Diamonds. Inversions can make the underneath card hard to
expose, and not paying attention to them can cause games to become unsolvable. It
often pays to try and move inversions where possible, so in the example above, it
would be beneficial to move the 7 of Diamonds onto an 8 of Diamonds, to get
access to the 2, rather than put a 6 of Diamonds onto the 7.

Why is search engine marketing important to today’s business person? Isn’t such marketing just for dot-commers? What about the ordinary bricks-and-mortars store owner? How might search engine marketing benefit him or her? How does one pursue search engine registration, if it is decided to pursue an Internet marketing program? How complicated is this? Is it expensive? What does one need to know about search engine registration?
Effective search engine registration, in other words, will put your local business in a position to be found without the searcher having to resort to the old Yellow Pages phone book. I t will be strategically smart to consider Search engine marketing, it is the way for smaller business that don’t enjoy broad-based brand name recognition to be found through use of the most popular search websites or portals. Effective search engine registration can have a powerful effect. About 85% of Internet users seeking products or information use search engines to find them. T o submit a website to Google, the world’s most important search engine, merely go to: http://www.google.com/addurl.html . But for registration to be really effective, it needs to be handled by an SEO consultant with specialized knowledge. Costs can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands. Those who charge the highest prices aren’t necessarily the most knowledgeable or effective.
Search engine placement on the engines and directories that matter, for keyword phrases that are important to your business, is critical to success on the web. When it’s time to get your site positioned, get it right the first time. If you choose the wrong SEO person, or do it yourself and mess it up, you will waste some money, of course, but you will also waste several months of your valuable time.
SEO optimization is both an art and a science. It involves creating a site theme. It also involves writing and editing, building inbound links that constitute “votes” for high positioning of the client website, and the strategic use of keyword phrases in important places.
Do you want to focus on 5 keyword rich terms and phrases or 10, 15 or 20 as everything is based on time the bigger it is the longer it takes to maintain.
So in essence you decide on the level of exposure you can afford, but remember in the long term their is very little out there that will give you exposure and brand longevity that beats strategic internet marketing in relation to cost and ROI.
+ monthly maintenance will be based on the final size of your size once its built, so again it once again depends on the level of exposure you want and how much budget you have to spend.
You can start small and grow page by page, however that wont get you fantastic rankings in the short term. Content is KING, the more you have, the more people will find you. the higher the quality of content and the more terms and phrases you build in will equate to the quality of website traffic you get.
